North Carolina Girl Dies in the Emergency Room — Investigators Now Blame Her Grandmother

An 8-year-old girl died at the emergency room in North Carolina and police believe her grandmother is responsible for her murder, authorities said.

According to the Nash County Sheriff’s Office, the badly injured child, whose identity has not been released, was pronounced dead in the emergency room at Nash UNC Healthcare in Rocky Mount.
