Jason Browne, a dedicated music educator and musician, has successfully combined his passion for teaching with his expertise in instrument repair, establishing JB’s Band Instrument Repair & Music School in League City, Texas.
From Musician to Educator
Browne’s musical journey began in sixth grade with the trumpet. Despite initial challenges and a desire to quit before high school, he persevered and found a deep love for music. This passion led him to earn a music business degree from the University of Houston and transition into coaching.
Identifying a Need
While teaching, Browne noticed a significant delay in getting students’ instruments repaired, often taking two to three weeks. Recognizing the impact this had on students’ progress, he decided to learn instrument repair to provide timely services.
Establishing JB’s Band Instrument Repair & Music School
In 2017, Browne expanded his business to include instrument repair services, offering cleaning, brass and woodwind repairs, part replacements, dent removals, polishing, and custom work. His approach involves educating customers about the repair process, ensuring they leave with a better understanding of their instruments.
