WHEN: May 8, 2025, at 10 p.m.
WHERE: 3300 block of Simmons St. 77004.
INJURIES: No reported injuries.
CAUSE: Act of nature (lightning).
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Firefighters arrived on scene to find a house on fire and made an offensive attack. Fire was in the attic and crews pulled the ceiling and ventilated the roof. The fire was controlled and firefighters conducted property conservation. 44 personnel responded to this incident, including crews from Stations 7, 23, 8, 46, 18, 25, 17 and 24.
